Ms. Sobczak received her Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1993, with a specialization in Mental Health.
Ms. Sobczak has extensive experience working with depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, abuse (emotional, physical, sexual), loss/grief, complicated bereavement, identity/self-esteem issues, relationship issues, couples issues, divorce, infidelity, remarriage, body image issues, family of origin issues, child and family issues, addictions (sexual, drugs, alcohol) and the effect on family members, and spiritual issues.
Ms. Sobczak works with adults, adolescents, and children; and provides individual, couples, and family therapy.
She is a member of the North Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work, the North Carolina Chapter of the American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work, and is an associate member of the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Society. She is available to see clients in the Chapel Hill office.
